Cooper (Portaferry) Died 7th March 2024, peacefully at hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Lila, dearly loved wife of David, loving and devoted mother of Lorraine, Amanda, Donna and Peter, a dear mother-in-law of Paul, John and Sarah, much loved granny of Jessica, Reece, Aimee, Adam, Daniel, Joshua, Louis, Jack, Molly, Evie, Ollie, Conor and Katie and a dearly loved sister.

Lila’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Sunday 10th March from 10am-2pm and Monday 11th March from 10am-12noon, 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm.

Funeral will leave the funeral home at 12noon on Tuesday 12th March to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm followed by a private family service in Roselawn Crematorium.

Holland, Seamus (formerly Main St. Greyabbey) and resided in Newtownards. Passed 6th March 2024, peacefully at home in Newtownards surrounded by his loving family.  Dearly beloved husband of Mary, son of the late Bella and William Holland, brother to the late Mary,  father to Teresa, Marie, Sean and Eileen, Grandfather to Danielle, Christopher and Matthew, Great-grandfather to Riley.  Funeral Service will take place in John Smith Funeral Home, 89a High Street, Portaferry on Friday 8th March 2024 at 10am followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Graveyard, Ballycranbeg.House private. Lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by all his family and the extended family circle.

Elizabeth (Jean), dearly beloved wife of the late Paddy, daughter of the late James and Mable, loving and devoted mother of Ann, Sandra, Darren, Karen, Eugene, Caroline, David, Pauline, John, Kate, Kieran, Janice, Geraldine, Joyce, Gary, Daniel and the late Michael, a dear mother-in-law and much loved grandmother and great-grandmother.

Jean’s remains will be reposing in her home 85 Rubane Road, Kircubbin from 11am on Tuesday 5th March.
Funeral will leave her home on Wednesday 6th March at 1.30pm to St. Joseph’s Church, Ballycranbeg for Requiem Mass at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.

Beth’s remains will repose in her daughter Paula’s home. House private. Funeral will leave on Wednesday (6th March) at 10.30am. to St Patrick’s Church, Ballygalget for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment immediately afterwards in adjoining graveyard.

Smyth (Portaferry) Died 28th February 2024, peacefully at hospital. Joyce beloved wife of the late Francis, devoted mother of Jackie, John and the late Joyce, dear mother-in-law of John, Debbie and Dave and cherished grandmother of Kirstie, Becky, Jessica, Lucy, Sarah, Marie, Steven, Rachel and Bethany, a much loved great-grandmother of all of her wonderful great-grandchildren and a dear friend of Andrea and Evelyn.

Joyce’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Friday 1st March from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday 2nd March at 10.30am to St. Patrick’s Church Ballyphilip for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.

Smith (Downpatrick) Died 22nd February 2024, suddenly but peacefully at his home. Gareth, dearly loved and cherished son of Brendan and Deirdre, much loved brother of Ciaran, dear brother-in-law of Marie, devoted uncle of Emily and Sofia and a dearly loved nephew, cousin and friend. 

Gareth’s remains will be reposing in his home 42c Saul Road, Downpatrick on Saturday and Sunday from 12noon – 8pm each day.  House private after 8pm please. 

The funeral cortege will leave his home on Monday 26th February at 10.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in Struell Cemetery.
